The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at ANKUR Hospital is an Eight bed unit caring for sick children above neonatal age. The ICU is designed, staffed and equipped to deliver advanced care within a child-friendly environment. It is ably headed by Dr Raina Nagpal Kohli, MD, Fellow Pediatric Critical care

The PICU beds have provision for Inclination at various angles for better maneuverability. Latest multi parameter monitors have been installed at each bed in the PICU. These monitors record heart rate, ECG, invasive and Non-Invasive blood pressure, body temperature and oxygen levels of the patient.

Infusion Pumps are used to administer accurate amount of fluids and drugs to the patients. Respiratory support is provided by advanced Ventilators, HHFNC, BIPAP, NIV which cause minimum trauma to the delicate lungs of the child. Defibrillator with Pediatric pedals is used for the treatment of Ventricular Arrhythmias.

PICU has a separate HVAC system to prevent air mixing with the other areas of the hospital and strictly confirms to worldwide standards.
